Conversation first
Choose to join the queue. We pair eligible opposite-gender students, then open anonymous chat. No names, photos, or profile previews.
Meet someone before the name, the bio, and the first impression. Blind keeps profiles out of the chat, then introduces the person after a normal ending.
No profile audition. No conversation type to choose. Just someone from campus, a private alias, and a little room to be yourself.
Your identity is hidden from your match during chat. Authorized safety administrators can access identities and transcripts.

A shared icebreaker gets things going. Either person can answer, draw a new question, or ignore it and say hey.
When the conversation ends normally, you both see the profile the other person chose to share. Block, report, or moderation means no automatic reveal.
Sign in with your BITS Hyderabad student Google account, then choose Yes, join the queue. Blind also needs a student directory record with the required gender data. Signing in or opening the page alone does not enter you into matchmaking.
If an eligible opposite-gender student is waiting, you match immediately. Otherwise, your place stays in the queue until you match or explicitly leave, even if you refresh, navigate away, or go offline. Matching follows queue order, not profile information.
Your match sees a private alias and the messages you send, not your name, email, directory details, or chosen profile. A shared icebreaker is there if you need it: answer it, request a new question, or ignore it. Avoid sharing identifying details in your messages if you want to stay anonymous.
When either participant ends the conversation normally, both of you see the other person's chosen profile: their shared name, bio, tags, and prompt answers. There is no extra mutual-consent step. Your chat becomes read-only; incomplete profiles are fine.
Other students cannot browse your Blind conversations. Authorized safety administrators can see account identities and transcripts to investigate abuse. This is not a claim that nobody can ever see what you send.
If a conversation feels unsafe, use Block or Report rather than a normal ending. These stop the chat without automatically revealing profiles. Moderator endings and sanctions also suppress automatic reveals. A profile or identifying message already seen cannot be made unseen.
Private picks reveal a match only when both people independently choose each other. Blind pairs eligible students from a queue for an anonymous conversation, then reveals chosen profiles after a normal ending. You can use either experience; Blind does not need a private pick.
