How bphc.social actually works.
From sign-in to match reveal, here is the whole journey — including what the other person can and cannot see.
Match first. Meet the profile afterward.
Enter Blind and choose whether to join the persistent queue. The oldest eligible opposite-gender student is matched immediately, and you go straight into anonymous chat. Your place remains until you match or explicitly leave. Names, bios, tags, and prompt answers stay hidden during the conversation. A normal ending reveals the profile of the person you just chatted with; a safety-related ending does not automatically reveal it.
Choose one person
Browse the campus directory by branch. You cannot choose yourself, submit the same pick twice, or see how often anyone else has been picked.
Your pick stays silent
The other person receives no notification, clue, count, or profile view. Only you can see the pick in your own history.
A match reveals both sides
If that person independently picks you, bphc.social confirms the pair and reveals the match to both of you at the same time. It never reveals who picked first.
A two-week cooldown keeps choices intentional
After a pick, you wait two weeks before making another. Removing a private pick never restores or shortens that cooldown.
You can remove a private pick
A one-sided pick can be removed at any time. It then cannot become a later match.

Only you see it. They receive nothing and cannot infer that a pick exists.
You pick each other
Both of you see the match together. Neither person is identified as “first.”
You remove a private pick
It disappears from your active history and cannot produce a later match. Your cooldown remains.
One choice. No public performance.
If it is mutual, you will find out together.
