How bphc.social actually works.
From sign-in to match reveal, here is the whole journey — including what the other person can and cannot see.
Choose one person
Search the campus directory by branch and name. You cannot choose yourself, submit the same pick twice, or see how often anyone else has been picked.
Your pick stays silent
The other person receives no notification, clue, count, or profile view. Only you can see the pick in your own history.
A match reveals both sides
If that person independently picks you, bphc.social confirms the pair and reveals the match to both of you at the same time. It never reveals who picked first.
A seven-day cooldown slows things down
After a pick, you wait seven days before making another. This reduces spam, discourages guessing, and keeps each choice intentional.
You stay in control
You can remove your own picks and request account deletion. Removing a one-sided pick means it can no longer become a future match.
The reveal rule
What happens in every scenario?
You pick them
Only you see it. They receive nothing and cannot infer that a pick exists.
You pick each other
Both of you see the match together. Neither person is identified as “first.”
You delete your pick
It disappears from your active history and cannot produce a later match.
One choice. No public performance.
If it is mutual, you will find out together.
